Unfortunately, we must inform you that certain individuals with malicious intent have opted to use our trademarked brand name on a comparable domain, appropriating both our logo and identity.

The scammers employ various domains, altering them as we dismantle each one. Currently, they are utilizing the following two fake domains:

👉 We have no affiliation with seonet-digital  .com

👉 We also have no affiliation with seonetdigital . sale

👉 We also have no affiliation with seonet-digital. net

PLEASE NOTE: Seonet has NOT been hacked. This is someone impersonating us.

The mentioned domains do not represent our official website, and we have submitted a complaint to the domain registrars (Alibaba Cloud and GoDaddy). We strongly advise against interacting with these domains, as they are not affiliated with our business. Despite their use of our logo and branding, it is important to emphasize that these activities are entirely unrelated to our legitimate operations.

Our authorized website is seonetdigital.com. If you receive communication from seonet-digital .com or seonetdigital .sale, please refrain from any interaction with them.

We treat this matter with utmost seriousness and have informed the appropriate authorities. Unfortunately, as this scam appears to be originating from China, our ability to address it is limited.

Please do not interact with any website other than seonetdigital.com if you want to speak with us

What’s Happening?

We have been informed about certain tactics employed by them.

These are some of the reported tactics these spoof websites are using (that we have been made aware of). In the end, they will ask for money, and that money will be lost with no way to get it back (be warned)

  1. Receiving unsolicited contacts through WhatsApp/Facebook. We don’t offer jobs through social media or WhatsApp, we will never contact you that way.
  2. Using country codes like +61 and +58, along with the potential spoofing of UK mobile numbers. It’s important to note that we do not have any numbers associated with those country codes.
  3. Promoting alleged ‘job’ opportunities with compensation ranging from $80 to $300 per day. Currently, we do not have any open job listings. If we do have openings in the future, they will be exclusively promoted through our internal recruiting system.
  4. Offering positions for data entry roles. Currently, we do not have any openings for data entry positions.

How to know it’s not Seonet

  • We do not loan or require money from contractors.
  • As of the current date (November 2023), there is no platform for staff or contractors to log in to a website.
  • We do not engage in freelance contract work through unsolicited channels; all employment relationships are established within our internal systems.
  • Our recruitment exclusively takes place through job postings within our internal systems.
  • We refrain from using WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook Messenger, or any chat applications for interactions with clients or freelancers. Additionally, we do not utilize 07 mobile numbers.
  • Any employment offers are communicated in writing through our established legal channels, and formal interviews are conducted for all applicants. Agreements are not made through chat applications.

Example Website Used By The Scammers

scam website

^^ As you can see, this has our brand and company number, but there are a couple of points to note: firstly, it doesn’t function on our official domain, seonetdigital.com, and secondly, it features both sign-up and sign-in functionalities, which are not services we provide or necessitate for collaboration.

Have Seonet been hacked? (Answer = NO!)

The situation does not arise from any compromise of our data or hacking of our accounts. We prioritize the security of our data and have implemented multiple authorizations, security keys (backed by standard SMS 2FA), and malicious software monitoring in place as standard.

This is solely a matter of unscrupulous individuals registering a domain name using our brand. Unfortunately, anyone can register a brand name with a few clicks for a minimal cost, hence our issuance of a scam alert.

Actions We’ve Taken

  • Filed a report against the domain name for violating our registered trademark and impersonating our brand.
  • Submitted a report to the local authorities.
  • Provided notification through this post regarding the incident.
  • Clearly explained above how to verify that it is not us.

If you receive communication from seonet-digital .com or seonetdigital .sale , kindly refrain from any interaction.

Steps You Can Take to Help Us Fight the Scammers

  • Submit a report to the local authority.
  • Submit an “Abuse Claim Form” to Alibaba Cloud clearly stating the incident. Alibaba Cloud is the domain registrar used by the scammers. The more reports they get, the faster they will take the domain down (hopefully). This is the URL of the form:
